Strength coach, NASM certified personal trainer & group fitness instructor — Boston
I teach strength, yoga sculpt, barre, Pilates Fusion, and yoga in and around Boston. I've been developing and training new instructors, plus I offer 1:1 personal training and small group training. Four-plus years on the mic, a lifetime in movement: intelligent programming, honest coaching, and rooms that leave with an undeniable spark.

My home base. This is where we build muscle — by progressively overloading your type II (fast-twitch) fibers, the ones with the most growth potential and the ones only heavy, intentional work wakes up. Dumbbell-driven group strength with intelligent block programming: balanced patterns, loads that mean something, and those last hard reps where the change actually happens.
1:1 coaching as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer — a program built for your body, your goals, and your schedule, with the same programming-first standards I bring to every room. A specialty close to home: GLP-1 coaching. Losing weight on a GLP-1 can take muscle with it unless you train for the opposite — and I'm on one myself, so this is personal, not theoretical. I coach GLP-1 clients through progressive strength training and protein-forward habits so the weight you lose is the weight you wanted to lose, and the strength stays. Ready to start? Yoga's flow with weight in your hands — strength layered over breath and rhythm, working both sides of your muscle fibers in one sweaty, music-driven hour.
Small movements, big burn — and real science behind the shake. Barre lives in your type I (slow-twitch) fibers: the endurance fibers that respond to high reps, tiny pulses, and time under tension. It's why the lightest weights in the building can humble the strongest people in the room.
Core-first strength where control is the skill. Like barre, Fusion trains those type I endurance fibers — slow, precise, deeply fatiguing work that builds the stability and stamina your heavy lifts stand on.
My longest love — the practice I've kept the most years, and the one I bring into everything else I teach. Breath-led flow that trains the slow-twitch endurance your holds demand, plus the mobility, patience, and recovery your strength training is quietly begging for.
For over a year I've been developing and training new instructors — running training cohorts, maintaining the syllabus, and evaluating strength coaches with a structured rubric. Now I offer that same coaching 1:1 through the Arriera Method: programming, audition prep, and honest feedback from someone on the other side of the hiring table. Curious if it's a fit? Born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut by way of Colombian parents — Spanish was my first language — I moved to Boston for school in 2010 and never left. My name is Carolina Quinn, first name pronounced "car-oh-leeh-nah" — but my friends call me Caro or Lina for short.
By day, I've spent 10+ years in corporate America, first in merchandising and now in marketing, at places like Wayfair, Reebok, and Drizly. By night (and very early morning), I'm on the mic.
I loved group fitness for years before I ever taught it. I used to daydream about being an instructor and talk myself out of it — I was sure I'd be judged for not having "the right body type." Then my mom passed away, the world shut down, and somewhere in all of that I finally asked: why not me? I started with barre, and a little over a year later — after three auditions, because none of this is as effortless as instructors make it look — I landed my dream job teaching strength in 2023. I've been collecting the craft ever since: my 50-hour Yoga Sculpt training, my 200-hour YTT, and most recently my NASM-CPT, adding personal training to the mix.
Here's what I believe about bodies: movement is for all of them, and the shape of someone's body doesn't determine its ability — there's always more than meets the eye. I've dealt with diet, weight loss, and body image my whole life. I'm on a GLP-1 now, and I coach other people on them to hold onto their strength while they lose. I want every body in my room to feel seen and valued, because movement is a gift, not a punishment.
And what I believe about the craft: a great hour of training is engineered, not improvised. Whether it's a room of two hundred mats or one client and a rack of dumbbells, the programming comes first — the loads, the sequence, the music, the cue that lands at the exact second your muscles need it. None of it is an accident, and all of it has one job: making the hardest hour of your day the one you can't wait to come back to. That's the spark.
